KCON LA Announces Final Line Up + Fans React

If you’re going to KCON LA this year be prepared to experience one of the most stellar line ups of big-time, newly debuted stars!

Fans of K-Pop are well aware that there are some fresh new faces that entered the scene but crushed it with their jaw-dropping debuts and comebacks too! With this year’s KCON NY and LA becoming the home of rookie lineups, fans can expect a once in a lifetime chance to see all these hot new artists all in one place.

Aside from the other artists announced last week, and with most of KCON NY’s lineup attending as well, KCON LA has officially announced their final additions to their stage and drove fans wild.

The final six artists to join the Los Angeles concert lineup are ITZY, SEVENTEEN, SF9, LOONA, N.Flying, and fromis_9. These six artists join the previously announced Stray Kids, MAMAMOO, MOMOLAND, ONEUS, ATEEZ, CHUNG HA, NU’EST, AB6IX, EVERGLOW, VERIVERY, and IZ*ONE. Concert tickets go on sale July 12th at 12:00pm PT while convention tickets (including add-on programs) go on sale July 15th at 12:00pm PT.

If you do not already know about these stellar artists, check out some fun facts and info about them below!

ITZY is a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment, consisting of members Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna. The group debuted on February 12, 2019, with the release of their single album, It’z Different with its lead single “DALLA DALLA.” The song incorporates elements from EDM subgenres, such as future house and bass house with empowering lyrics that have been well received by the world!

SEVENTEEN is a 13-member boy group that debuted under Pledis Entertainment on May 26, 2015. The members are S.COUPS, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, WOOZI, The 8, Mingyu, DK, SeungKwan, Vernon, and Dino. They stepped into the K-Pop industry as “super rookies” with their 1st Mini Album, ‘17 Carat.’

SF9 is a boy group formed by FNC Entertainment and the company’s first dance boy group. The group consists of nine members: Young Bin, In Seong, Jae Yoon, Da Won, Ro Woon, Zu Ho, Tae Yang, Hwi Young, and Cha Ni. The group name stands for Sensational Feeling 9. They debuted on October 5, 2016 with their first single album ‘Feeling Sensation.’

 

LOONA is a twelve-member girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. The twelve members were revealed one-by-one each month since October 2016. The group has formed three sub-units: Loona 1/3, Loona Odd Eye Circle, and Loona yyxy. The members are HeeJin, HyunJin, HaSeul, YeoJin, ViVi, Kim Lip, JinSoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Go Won, Olivia Hye. On August 7, 2018, Loona released “favOriTe” as the lead single from ‘[+ +],’ their debut EP as a full group.

N.Flying is a band formed by FNC Entertainment in 2013. The band currently consists of four members: Seunghyub, Hun, Jaehyun, and Hweseung. On October 1, they released their first indie single album titled Basket and performed as the opening act at F.T. Island’s “Replay” Zepp tour. The band made their Korean debut on May 20th, 2015 with a single album and its lead single “Awesome.” Former Produce 101 Season 2 contestant Yoo Hweseung joined the group with the release of their second mini-album ‘THE REAL: N.Flying’ and the title track “The Real.”

fromis_9, an initialism for ‘From Idol School,’ is a nine-member girl group formed through Mnet’s reality show ‘Idol School’ in 2017, which ran from July 13th to September 29th. As a result of live and online voting, Roh Ji Sun, Song Ha Young, Lee Sae Rom, Lee Chae Young, Lee Na Gyung, Park Ji Won, Lee Seo Yeon, Baek Ji Heon and Jang Gyu Ri secured spots in the final ranking and formed fromis_9 on the same day.

Fan’s minds were blown upon hearing the news that ITZY, within their first year of debut, are already dominating overseas and making an appearance. Fans from NY also stated their continued opinion of LA having stronger stage performances in comparison. Despite the upgrade of performances moving to Madison Square Garden and convention changes, fans still desire to see some of the lengthier and high-end artists of K-Pop.
